Anne Verschraege is my maître. Since I was seven, she has not only taught me a lot of technique, strategy and other fencing knowledge, she has also shaped me as a person and she still does. I admire her as a fencer, as a trainer, as a coach and especially as a person.

Like me, she has an enormous passion and a huge heart for the sport. I‘m in daily contact with her, and that hasn’t changed now that I moved to Paris. When I fence, she fences with me, every 'touche' I score, I score thanks to her.

I have a lot of respect for her. Nobody will ever be able to take her place'.
